Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Life presents complex challenges.  If the unexpected happens, you want to know that you and your family have simple solutions to help you cope with the stress and life changes that may result. That’s why Baldwin County Schools has partnered with ESPῩR to provide employees and thier eligible family members with a comprehensive employer-paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  Their straightforward approach takes the complexity out of managing stress when life throws you a curve.  The EAP is available 24/7 year round. For the everyday issues like stress, relationships, life transitions, and emotional concerns the Employee Assistance Program can be your resource for professional support. 

The service includes up to 6 face-to-face counseling sessions per occurrence per year so each member of your family can get counseling help for their own unique needs.  Legal and financial counseling are also available by phone.

Counseling Support


Helps address stress, relationship, or other personal issues you or your family members may face. It’s staffed by certified professionals who listen to concerns and quickly make referrals to in-person counseling or other valuable resources.

  • Employees and their dependents have access to speak with a counselor 24/7/365 for immediate support by calling (800) 869-0276.
  • Up to 6 face to face counseling sessions, per issue, are available.

Work / Life Balance Services


Provides support for help with balancing the demands of home, family, and the workplace.  Specialists answer questions and put employees in touch with outside resources.  Topics may include:

  • Legal consultation provided by attorneys. Simple Wills prepared at no cost. 24-hour emergency services, consultation with a mediator, consultation with a fraud/ID theft specialist are also included. A 25% discount off the mediator or attorney fees for services rendered beyond the EAP.
  • Financial consultation regarding debt matters, investment options, money management, tax preparation and consultation and retirement planning. Financial personnel services are discounted at 25% as are CPA tax preparation fees.
  • Child care information and referrals for all types of child care, as well as camps and schools
  • Elder care services to assess elder care needs, locate resources and arrange referrals
  •  Adoption specialists share information, organize and arrange referrals for all stages of this process.
  • Academic resources including customized profiles of kindergarten through graduate school. College planning guidebooks are available. Referrals to tutors are available.
  • Pet care services that offer referrals to breeders, groomers, walkers, sitters, kennels, vets, and pet publications.
  • Special needs services and referral to assess employee needs, educate, and make referrals for various special needs affecting employees and their families such as heart disease, ADHD, disabilities, diabetes and more.
  • Daily Living and Concierge resources that provides referrals such as for home improvement resources, cleaning services, travel information and more.
  • Relocation services and referral information provided to employees who are moving. Referrals include moving companies, housing options, utility companies, schools and more.

Additional EAP Services


In addition to the ESPῩR EAP, the Georgia Department of Education also provides an EAP at no cost to all Georgia Public School employees working 29 or more hours per week and members within the employee’s household. The program offers assistance and support in a variety of areas to enhance both your personal and professional development.

Free Legal and Financial Consultation: Receive professional guidance on legal and financial matters at no cost. A free 30-minute legal consultation with an experienced attorney and a free 30-minute financial consultation with a financial professional. 

Child and Elder Care Referrals and Resources: Assistance in finding quality child and elder care services to meet your family's needs.

Daily Living Referrals and Resources: Access to resources that address various aspects of daily living, helping you navigate life's challenges.
