Baldwin County Schools offers a hospital indemnity plan through Voya Financial. The hospital indemnity plan pays when you are admitted to the hospital, whether it is a planned or unplanned admission. This includes emergencies and unexpected admissions as well as scheduled surgeries and procedures. You may use the fixed benefits as you choose to help offset deductibles, coinsurance, and other expenses. Pregnancy is covered under this benefit with no pre-existing condition exclusion or coverage restrictions.
Lump sum payments are made directly to the employee according to the coverage amounts specified in the schedule of benefits.
Hospital Indemnity insurance offers daily payments for each day spent in the hospital, and you have the flexibility to use the funds as you see fit, whether to cover hospital bills or to manage additional costs that arise during your recovery.
